| Board and officer elections are usually the largest elections for organizations, and many groups also occasionally hold bylaw, award, referenda, advisory and committee voting events. |

| The average voter turnout for the last election was just over 30% for all respondents, with state and regional organizations reporting the highest turnouts and city/local the lowest. Almost half of the respondents do not have goals for voter turnout, and 25.8% said they are meeting the goals they set. |

| Most organizations who use online voting hoped to increase voter turnout by the switch. They also hoped to save time, modernize the election process and increase member convenience. Organizations said they increased member convenience when they switched, plus they saved time and money and modernized their process. |
